There are many ways to get involved to show your support and or to access helpful resources.
Alzheimer's Association Care and Support
The Alzheimer’s Association offers reliable resources, support and information to all those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementia, including our 24/7 Helpline (1-800-272-3900) staffed by master’s level clinicians and specialists, support groups and educations programs, online information and resources at alz.org and Alzheimer’s Association TrialMatch®.
Alzheimer's Association Caregiver Conference
Tennessee has over 361,000 unpaid caregivers caring for their loved ones living with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia. This Caregiver Conference with 200-300 attendees provides an opportunity to visit with caregivers in an informal setting to share and learn from each other.
Walk to End Alzheimer’s®
These 600 events across the country are the “largest support group of the year”. Family, friends, and those with Alzheimer’s gather to support each other and the search for a cure. The event consists of a powerful Promise Garden Ceremony, a short walk, refreshments, and activities. Visit alz.org/walk for more information.
The Longest Day®
The Longest Day is the Day with the most light – the summer solstice. And it’s the day the Alzheimer’s Association® calls on everyone to fight Alzheimer’s disease by raising funds and awareness for care, support and research. Thousands of participants across the world come together and stand against the darkness of Alzheimer’s through an activity of their choice. Visit alz.org/tld for more information.
